Back in April 2011, Nokia announced that China has become its Global Innovation hub for Mobile Phone and New Windows Phone. Following the announcement, Nokia quickly launched a large-scale business transformation program to ramp up Beijing R&D capabilities, specifically the Beijing innovation R&D hub and is now recruiting up to 600 new employees by mid-2012.

What Are We Looking For?

Cellular RF Engineer

We are looking for outstanding candidates to join us as full-time Cellular RF Engineers. Successful candidates will have developed high-performance, stable Hardware that has been successfully deployed in a global product. You will have a system-wide, architectural view of the solutions that you build. You will also have strong technical ability, a focus on the customer experience, great teamwork and communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will comprise:
·Maintenance and development of mobile handset RF componentengineproduct.
·RF schematiclayout design, review and improvement. RF troubleshooting and optimization in lab such as matching circuit tuning, improving the performance of conductiveloadpullco-existence.
·Support phone factory builds on preparing MFG document, golden samples, BI input.
Build execution, Tape board checking, FLALI fine tuning, production failure monitoring & troubleshooting.
·Responsible for build analysis including production data, MFR, CPK, production failure sample and PV failure sample analysis.
·Propose test plan definition, review test results and give verdict. Generate TA documentation and Service manual.
·Support on quality improvement such as field return sample, DFMEA and BFR report analysis.
·Participate regular product PE milestone reviews and program meetings.
You will work as part of an Agile team at our development center in Beijing, China launching and growing new products for Nokias Mobile Phones business. You will play a key contributor role in your team -as they will look to you for advice on the mobile technology. You will be a pivotal team player and able to deploy your initiatives, giving you the responsibility and authority to ensure success. You will be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation, business analysis and technical design through to Hardware development across a variety of technologies. Your Hardware will need to meet remarkably high standards of performance and reliability, and will operate a global scale.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering (preferably a M.Sc. in telecommunications RF, electronics) and relevant background with proven track record in a technical discipline. Furthermore we expect:
·5+ years working experience, preferably in wireless handset design
·Good understanding in RF blocks, e.g. receiver, transmitter and PLL
·Hands-on experience in RF trouble shooting and testing
·Experience in RF design tools and measuring equipments, e.g. communication tester, spectrum analyzer and network analyzer
·Knowledge about GSMEDGEWCDMA cellular systems
·Fluency in both written and spoken English
·Proactive approach to own task area
·Experience in interfacing with component suppliers and phone manufacture factories.
·Networking and communication skills
·Independent way of working and decisiveness
·Ability to effectively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders .
