Following the announcement, Nokia quickly launched a large-scale business transformation program to ramp up Beijing R&D capabilities, specifically the Beijing innovation R&D hub and is now recruiting up to 600 new employees by mid-2012.

What Are We Looking For?

Senior EMCESD Engineer

We are looking for outstanding candidates to join us as full-time EMCESD Engineers. Successful candidates will have developed high-performance, stable Hardware that has been successfully deployed in a global product. You will have a system-wide, architectural view of the solutions that you build. You will also have strong technical ability, a focus on the customer experience, great teamwork and communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You will work with some of the hottest mobile technologies on the market and join a highly motivated team to build great mobile phone products.

As EMCESD Engineer, you will work as senior engineering role in an mobile phone EMCESD design area e.g. to lead competitiveness, quality and productivity. Drives and solves complex problems within own technology area.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will comprise:
·Has the responsibility for specifying, planning, reporting, designing and reviewing in EMCESD area in the mobile phone project.
·Evaluate different design options and predict the risks with limited information at hand in mobile phone concept design phase, be responsible for placement, schematic, layout design within the EMCESD scope, review mechanics design.
·Review EMCESD test plan, close cooperate with EMCESD verification engineers.
Solve the problems in product development phase through the interaction with various function, e.g. RF, Baseband, Mechanics, Display, Audio, Software, etc.
·Proactive contribute in the cost down activity within the EMCESD scope
Contribute to the EMCESD design team technical competency build up, lessons Learnt summarization, seeds the opportunities of innovation from EMCESDRF side, etc.
You will work as part of an Agile team at our development center in Beijing, China launching and growing new products for Nokias Mobile Phones business. You will play a key contributor role in your team -as they will look to you for advice on the mobile technology. You will be a pivotal team player and able to deploy your initiatives, giving you the responsibility and authority to ensure success. You will be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation, business analysis and technical design through to Hardware development across a variety of technologies. Your Hardware will need to meet remarkably high standards of performance and reliability, and will operate a global scale.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a degree in Engineering and relevant background with proven track record in a technical discipline. We expect a recognized professional with the following attributes:

Education and Major
·Bachelor degree in electronics engineering or relevant major. (preferably a M.Sc. Or Ph.D. in electromagnetic field and microwave engineering)
Working experience
·Typically 6-9 years relevant experience. Recognized specialist in EMCESD field (depth & breadth).
Professional knowledge
·Strong fundamental theory background in EMCESD area, and broad cross functional competency areas which are applied to the daily work.
·Has deep expertise on mobile phone EMCESD area.
Soft skill
·Fluent speaking and decent written English skill for the daily communication.
Influence and persuasion skill to have others support the decision and help the whole team increase output quality.
·Network and relationship within the organization and especially with the industry.
Innovative thinking to seeds the opportunities and drive the innovation from RF side for NOKIA products.
