Main responsibilities:

Reporting line:Report to the head of Wireless Communications and Networks labMain activities:Conduct research and development in the area of Internet of Things (M2M) and wireless sensor networks, specific topics may include MAC algorithms for WLANWPAN, routing and data transport protocols in wireless sensor networksDesign and implement platforms and solutions for the particular use case of M2M such as smart metering, home automation, security monitoring Novel and innovative research results are expected, publications in major conferences and journals are encouraged.Prototypetestbed may be needed for proof of the concept.Assist in preparing research proposals. Some flexibility in assignments may be required.

Position requirements:

Applicants are expected to hold a Ph.D or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields. New graduates and candidates with 1-3 years of work experience are particularly encouraged to apply. Strong background in IP networks, routing protocols, WiFi, Zigbee and wireless sensor networks is preferred, and creativity is a must.Excellent programming skills in CC++, Matlab and OPNET are required.Good presentation and communications skills are expected.Fluency in English is a must, and knowledge of French is a plus.
