Back in April 2011, Stephen Elop Nokias CEO announced that China has become its Global Innovation hub for Mobile Phone and New Windows Phone. Following the announcement, Nokia quickly launched a large-scale business transformation program to ramp up Beijing R&D capabilities, specifically the Beijing innovation R&D hub and is now recruiting up to 600 new employees by mid-2012.

Chipset Release Manager
We are looking for an outstanding employee to join us as full-time Electromechanical component portfolio Manager. You have strong technology background combined with project management experience, a focus on business and customer experience. You are successful by showing leadership & great teamwork, using communication skills and the ability to influence others, combined with a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You will work as part of an exceptional team at our development center in Beijing, China. You will be instrumental in launching and growing new products for Nokias Mobile Phones business as well as leveraging the chipset asset to maximum for existing mobile phones. You will play a key contributor role in our team - as in your hand SW, HW come together and you are a key decision maker for the same. You work in close partnership and own the interface to the 3rd party variant component suppliers. Your work scope is very wide, working cross functional with business owner, global organizations like sourcing, quality and technology managers. You will be a pivotal team leader as well team of the management team and able to deploy your initiatives, giving you the responsibility and authority to ensure success. You will be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation, business analysis and technical design through to hardware and software development across a variety of technologies. Your key tasks and responsibilities as electromechanical component portfolio Manager will comprise: Coordinate the component development works among audio, antenna, display, touch, camera and relevant SW and Chipset activities Active interaction with products planning, industry designing, sourcing and R&D teams Ensure the synchronization among different technology roadmaps Participate and drive product concepting studies. Implement lessons learnt and best practices by coaching team members Qualifications The ideal candidate has strong experience and track record in electromechanical component development and project management, a M.Sc. Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar as well as 10+ years of experience in mobile phone industry. Essential skills: · Good understanding of mobile phone product development process · Understanding of GSM technologies for mobile phones · Networking, negotiation and communication skills · A proven track record of component development or product development management · Strong written and verbal English communications skills · Ability to deal well with ambiguous and undefined problems · Able to thrive in a challenging and dynamic environment
