The mission for Nokia Gear is to develop aspirational accessory ecosystem for Nokia devices, and to provide attractive profit opportunity for Nokias channel partners through accessories with high retail margin. Gear Head for a Region has overall responsibility for developing and driving Gear business in the Areas and providing Gear enablement support for Area sales teams.
The key responsibilities in this demanding role are:
- Leadership and drive for maximizing Gear opportunities in the Area (profit potential for Nokias channel partners, shopping experience for consumers, financial return for Nokia)
- Integrating Gear into the overall Area strategy, ensuring effective execution and follow-up of the agreed plan
- Orchestrating and mobilizing Sales Area resources to drive highly effective sell-in and sell-out activities for key ecosystem accessories for Nokias hero devices across relevant accounts. Help Account managers deliver against key financial targets for Gear by helping them on SKU selection, business modeling, competency transfer.
- Help develop new and existing distribution retail channels to grow the Gear business opportunity
-Work closely with SD BU at region level in identifying key Gear portfolio for Areas and providing technical and variant support help to the areas through the BU resources.
- Developing competences in the Sales Area to ensure Gear becomes part of the daily business among all Account ManagersSales Managers
- Work together with Area and Region retail management function to ensure best in class Point-of-Sale execution for accessories in key retail channels (winning in the right POS)
- Active interaction and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders to create excitement for opportunities with accessories
- Providing constructive and actionable feedback to Nokia Gear global teams to improve Nokias ability to tap into the key opportunities and increase visibility on Gear business performance
- Help Areas in realizing the potential and opportunities in Gear business and work towards building a business case for dedicated Gear resource in Areas.
KPIs Metrics:
- Project completion as per agreed milestones
- Area Gear sales results
-Gear attach rate
- Retail Visibility for Gear in Nokia Managed Retail ( Key value outlets)
The role will be reporting to the APAC Head of Sales operations
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in demanding sales management and execution roles, preferably in FMCG branded retail
- Retail expertise with passion to drive great shopping experience for accessories in point-of-sale
- Hands-on experience in developing new distribution and retail channels
-Capability to gain support and motivate people in Sales Area so that Gear becomes part of daily business across account teams
-Great presentation and influencing skills, ability to energize people around
-Action oriented with proven track record of delivering results
- Passion for driving great shopping experience for consumers in retail
- MBA or equivalent
